From October 27th to November 2nd, Papaya Playa Project enters Umbral — a week inspired by Día de Muertos and the ancient idea of the threshold between worlds.

Not a celebration of death, but a celebration of what remains: memory, presence, connection, transformation and life.

For generations, Día de Muertos has been a moment when the distance between the living and the departed becomes thinner — when memories return, offerings are made, music fills the night and those who came before us are welcomed back.

Umbral takes this idea beyond a single night.

For one week, Papaya becomes a meeting point between past and present, darkness and light, the earthly and the unknown.

A living ritual shaped through music, art, gastronomy, performance and nocturnal experiences — rooted in Mexican tradition, but interpreted through the spirit of Papaya Playa Project.
